Setting the Scene

Sandringham offers more than just one of Melbourne’s best beaches. Nearly a quarter of the area is dedicated to open green spaces and picture-perfect stretches of coastline, rugged cliff-tops, native reserves and bushland. It boasts an array of supermarkets, delicatessens, cafes, restaurants, boutique shopping, and activities at every corner. From the Sandringham Yacht Club’s world class events to world-renowned sand-belt golf courses, to bike rides and walking trails, it’s the perfect coastal base in Melbourne.

The Inspiration

The Sea & Sky project was inspired by renowned Australian artist Antoinette Ferwerda. Antoinette was invited to produce a large-scale private commission for the project, resulting in artworks imbued with a vivid oceanside colour palette drawn from clouds, coastal landforms, and reflections of light on the Bay.

Her paintings exude a sense of connectivity between all living things using colour, pattern and form. Here, the natural elements are fused with an architectural modernist expression, with complementary materiality, contrasting textures and bold forms.

The Outcome

Sea & Sky is a boutique collection of apartments across six levels, presenting an architectural articulation of Sandringham’s coastal character.

On the exterior, a complex and layered façade offers both visual interest – as sunlight and shadow play on recesses and extrusions throughout the day – as well as an individualised experience for every resident. The shared gardens are an oasis of greenery and fresh air, with lush lawns, alfresco dining pavilions, sundecks, and cosy fire-pits all existing in harmony.

On the interior, discover spacious two and three bedroom luxury apartments, all completed with a suite of premium finishes and fittings that showcase fine design and craftsmanship. Beyond the private residences is the exclusive amenities that create space for extended living. From a Business Centre, to a Dining Room with an Italian-designed chef’s kitchen, to a plush Movie Room for a lavish cinematic experience.

Residents will be moving in this summer, ready to gaze out from their private retreats to panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay or across to the glimmer of lights of the CBD.
