Nestled in Sandringham Village, Sea & Sky is a boutique collection of apartments across six levels, capturing the essence of this extraordinary community by the bay. This project presents an artist-inspired and architectural expression of Sandringham’s coastal character, offering the finest quality contemporary living.

The Masterplan

The Sea & Sky project was shaped by the artistic vision of Australian artist Antoinette Ferwerda, who produced a large-scale private commission for the project, resulting in a collection representing the place where the sea meets the sky. The artworks are imbued with a vivid oceanside colour palette drawn from clouds, coastal landforms, and reflections of light on the Bay.

Architecturally, this translated into coastal elements fused in modern materiality, contrasting natural textures, and bold forms celebrating timeless luxury. Functionally, indoor-outdoor living was prioritised (naturally). There was a central architectural focus where bright and spacious interiors extended seamlessly to large terrace balconies, gardens, and private sanctuaries.

The Materialisation

Camillo delivered a six-level apartment development with associated basement parking; an exclusive collection of 63 house-sized dwellings with a luxury penthouse. Each 2 & 3-bedroom apartment boasts generously proportioned floorplans with superior quality finishes and fittings. A showcase of fine design and brilliant craftsmanship, all residences feature an Italian-made kitchen by Snaidero, European Miele appliances, bright and spacious layouts, stone surfaces, bespoke joinery, and oversized balconies.

The Proud Moment

The team at Camillo are most proud of being able to highlight the beauty of Melbourne’s natural forms through this project. Notably, the complex and layered façade of the external building is a point of visual interest. The way it is built allows sunlight and shadow to play on the recesses and extrusions throughout the day, offering an individualised visual experience for each resident. Not only do these private retreats offer panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay and the glimmer of the CBD city lights – they are infused with the essence of the bayside, seen in the very bones of the building.
